Chapter Seventy-Three: Master Fei
That day Chen Bo spent in trembling fear, and when he came back to the classroom the next morning, he found that he was the only one left. The others had probably already been expelled from Sky Sun Academy. Who told them to be so stupid?
People in this world loved chasing after strength far too much, and as a result their intelligence tended to be rather low. There was a saying, wasn’t there? When God opens a window for you, he also closes a door.
No wonder that when Chen Bo used to read fantasy novels or immortal cultivation novels, the side characters and extras in them were only a little smarter than fools, and even the protagonist’s intelligence could crush them with ease. So that was the reason behind it!
Those online fiction writers really had put their hearts and souls into it. They could write such a lightweight story and still manage to create a reasonable rule for intelligence and strength. Some readers had always complained that the characters in novels were as dumb as primary school kids, but who knew it was all part of the author’s painstaking design?
“So, today there’s only you left?” Yu Shifei said leisurely with her hands behind her back, looking at the lonely Chen Bo.
“Yes, Mentor. Today it’s only me. The others, those who can’t read the room, where would they deserve to come to our Artifact Forging Division? Am I right?”
Facing a man, Chen Bo could never be so obsequious. He might have no shame, but that did not mean he had no dignity.
But when facing a beauty whose heart was not bad, lowering himself a little from time to time made him seem more gentlemanly. Besides, wasn’t this all his fault to begin with?
What? You say that’s just my excuse? I’m kidding. This is the truth, got it?
“Why does it feel like the streamer has become a different person today, turning into a very competent lapdog?”
Hey, the hell are you talking about? This is clearly the streamer’s normal form!
“I think the streamer must have an ulterior motive! Like, he’s scared and doesn’t want to get beaten, so he’s putting on this act.”
Pfft! Damn it, what are you saying such an obvious truth for?
Yu Shifei seemed to be meeting Chen Bo for the first time. She looked him over in surprise, then said in a flat tone, “Zhao Qing told me your forging technique is quite good, and rather unique too. Come with me to the forging chamber and show me what you can do.”
The forging chamber!!!
Could this woman really be planning to blow him to smithereens? No way! He was the Chen family’s only heir! He carried the heavy burden of continuing the family line, and Yu Xin’er had not yet been brought into his embrace. Was he really going to perish so fragrantly?
Hmm, that sounded wrong. It should be destroyed in body and soul.
But did he have a second choice now? Once again, Chen Bo realized just how important strength was in this world. His fists clenched so hard they turned white, even faintly blue.
He swore that if he did not die today, one day he would strip Yu Shifei’s trousers off and spank her ass hard. Yes. That was the plan.
Chen Bo followed behind Yu Shifei, walking slowly under the astonished gazes of the senior disciples. Their destination was one of the forging chambers.
At that very moment, Chen Bo felt as if his ears had gone deaf. Blinding fire stabbed at his eyes until he could not open them, and his head was as though struck by a great hammer.
Damn it all! Was he going to die not at Yu Shifei’s hands, but in an accidental furnace explosion?
Yet after a while, there was no feeling of being blown away as he had imagined. Chen Bo slowly opened his eyes, and immediately his mouth fell open in shock, so wide he could have stuffed a huge duck egg into it.
Before him stood a fiery red circular shield formed from vital energy, blocking everything in front of him and knocking all the debris away, even the spreading flames.
And that shield, needless to say, had definitely been created by Yu Shifei beside him. Looking at her relaxed expression, it seemed she had only done some small thing that he did not even know about. Was this the power of the Innate Realm? So strong!
Chen Bo could not help swallowing hard before realizing that his back was already drenched in cold sweat. That blast had nearly scared the life out of his poor little heart. Damn it, who had so little public virtue? Did they have to blow up a furnace once a day to feel happy?
Still, Yu Shifei had shielded him from the explosion just now, which counted as saving his life. Since she could save him, that meant she could not kill him. In other words, he was safe now! He no longer had to live in fear!
Hahahahaha! Why did he suddenly feel so wonderful? Only now he owed someone a favor again, and it was a favor owed to this witch of all people. How in the world was he supposed to repay that? Did he really have to keep it forever? What a joke. He, Chen Bo, was not that kind of petty scoundrel!
After saving him, Yu Shifei pointed at the exploded forging chamber and cursed, “A bunch of spendthrifts! You’re all damn spendthrifts! Do you have any idea how much money this lady has spent over the years rebuilding the Artifact Forging Division? And just after rebuilding it for a few months, you trash it again, all you spendthrift bastards!”
“Though all that money was stolen, and some of it swiped from that old man. But it was still this lady who worked hard to get it! Can’t you spare a little thought for me? And you, yes, you idiot—you keep mindlessly forging like that and you’ve blown up more than a dozen of this lady’s forging chambers!”
Yu Shifei pointed at a soot-black human-shaped lump and roared.
The senior disciple, upon seeing Yu Shifei, was like a mouse that had seen a cat; he stood there obediently and took the scolding. Only after Yu Shifei had cursed herself out did he sneak away in disgrace.
Damn, so domineering! Chen Bo’s eyes sparkled with gold. If he had even a fraction of Yu Shifei’s domineering aura, he would definitely offend a great many people.
“Damn damn damn damn, Sister Yu is so domineering! I can’t take it anymore, I’m getting wet!”
“Lady Yu is mighty! Who’s got aura like that? I nearly got suppressed by Lady Yu’s presence just now when she was cursing.”
“Could this be the legendary Conqueror’s Haki? Is Lady Yu from that pirate world?”
“Why are you guys still calling her Sister Yu and Lady Yu? We should give our idol a resounding nickname! I think we should call her Lord Yu!”
“Lord Yu? That sounds like fish, like the word for fish! It sounds like a fish seller, not classy enough!”
“Hey, upstairs, are you discriminating against us fish sellers? If you’ve got the guts, don’t leave after school. Meet at our school’s small field!”
“Then what nickname do you think is better, something loud and classy? I can’t come up with anything.”
“How about Lady Yu the Divine? ‘Divine’ sounds instantly grand and prestigious!”
“That’s too chuunibyou, isn’t it? And Lady Yu the Divine is a bit of a mouthful, not easy to remember.”
“Then what about Lady Fei?”
“Damn! That name is good! Lady Fei is great! The person above is talented!”
“Though I still think it’s not that great, it seems to be the best option. Thumbs up.”
“Let’s call her Lady Fei then! And we fans will be the Lady Fei Army!”
