The Cayenne sped away like the wind. On the second floor of the villa, Lin Siyu stood quietly by the window, her eyes carrying a hint of melancholy and resentment.

At this hour, traffic was at its peak. It took Zhang Xiaofan twenty minutes just to get onto the ring road. He pulled out his phone and dialed Feng Qingyang’s number. The call rang for a while before someone picked up.

"Xiaofan, are you on your way?" Feng Qingyang’s voice came from the other end.

"I’m already on the expressway. I’ll be there within half an hour."

"That’s about right. It starts at eight."

"Alright, which private room? I’ll head straight over when I arrive."

"We’re in the hall on the second floor. You’ll see it right away."

"Okay, I’ll hang up for now."

The traffic on the ring road was smoother than expected. When Zhang Xiaofan got off, he checked the time—already past 7:40. Fortunately, after exiting, it only took a few more minutes to arrive.

The second floor of the Haitian Hotel was crowded—nearly half the space was filled with students and teachers from Jinghai High School, including those admitted for academic excellence, sports talents, and of course, those with even more exceptional backgrounds, like Bai Qi.

"Senior Feng, is my brother coming tonight?" Bai Qi was dressed formally, looking sharp.

"I just called him. He’s on his way and should be here soon," replied Feng Qingyang.

"That’s great. After my brother’s guidance last time, my skills have improved a lot," Bai Qi said earnestly.

"Indeed. Xiaofan is far more skilled than I am. It’s your good fortune to have his guidance. When you reach that level, you must work hard. Only by becoming stronger can you serve the country better."

Bai Qi nodded, fully aware of how rare such an opportunity was.

Not far away, Ouyang Xue and Yin Rou Rou were busy arranging guests in their assigned places. This was a large gathering, with both high school and university students present.

Both Ouyang Xue and Yin Rou Rou deeply regretted Zhang Xiaofan’s sudden departure from school. Yin Rou Rou especially had been thinking of him constantly these days. She didn’t know why, but whenever she was still, she would recall his slightly wicked, yet wild and unruly silhouette.

Soon, eight o’clock arrived. The host appointed by the school took the stage, preparing to announce the start of the event.

Bai Qi walked up, pleading, "Please wait a moment. My brother hasn’t arrived yet."

The host, herself from Jinghai High, was caught off guard. "And who is your brother?"

Bai Qi replied gravely, "My brother is Zhang Xiaofan, king of the Martial Arts Society."

The host paused. Of course, she knew the king of the Martial Arts Society. That day in the school cafeteria, the senior had defeated Xuanyuan Ruthless. But wasn’t it said that he had already left Jinghai High?

"So many people are waiting. Is it really appropriate to wait for just one person? Besides, he’s no longer a student here," the host said. She was a woman in her twenties who taught the arts—martial arts society affairs barely interested her.

"Hey, Whitey, who the hell are you? Why should we all wait for your so-called brother?" A shout came from the audience.

The speaker was a university student named Wang Tao, a sports recruit. Sitting beside him was none other than Liu Qiang from the Liu family. Though born to a son-in-law, with Liu Xiao dead and Liu Zifeng reduced to a fool, Liu Qiang had risen to the top.

He looked rather pleased with himself.

"Damn it, he’s not even at school anymore, but he’s still strutting around like a hero," Liu Qiang grumbled. He knew who Bai Qi’s brother was. Just thinking about how he’d ended up in the hospital after being beaten made his blood boil.

Wang Tao, the sports recruit, was intentionally encouraged by Liu Qiang to shout. Liu Qiang knew all too well how terrifying Zhang Xiaofan was and didn’t dare confront him personally.

Bai Qi’s face darkened and he strode over to the university sports recruit. How dare this guy insult his brother—he wouldn’t let it slide! In Bai Qi’s heart, Zhang Xiaofan was like a god, his idol.

"You, get up and apologize," Bai Qi said sternly.

"Are you an idiot? Why should I apologize? That guy isn’t even a Jinghai student anymore. Why should we all wait for him just because he’s your brother?" Wang Tao retorted angrily.

"I don’t care. You must apologize," Bai Qi insisted.

"And if I don’t?" Wang Tao raised his eyebrows arrogantly. He knew Bai Qi was tough, but didn’t believe he’d dare fight here.

"If you don’t apologize, I’ll beat the apology out of you!" Bai Qi snorted. After Zhang Xiaofan’s guidance, Bai Qi had rejoined the Four Guardians and defeated one of their champions, becoming a champion himself in the Martial Arts Society.

He deeply revered Zhang Xiaofan, but toward Wang Tao, he held only pride and disdain.

Without another word, Bai Qi grabbed Wang Tao from his seat. Though Wang Tao was strong, he was no match for Bai Qi, who hoisted him up effortlessly.

"Are you going to apologize?" Bai Qi demanded.

"What the hell do you think you’re doing?" Wang Tao roared.

Slap! Bai Qi delivered a resounding slap. "Are you going to apologize?" he repeated.

"Let me go, you idiot!"

Another slap rang out.

"You bastard, how dare you hit me! You’ll regret this unless you kill me!" Wang Tao’s eyes filled with hatred and fury. To be struck in front of so many people was a complete humiliation.

"Whitey, aren’t you getting too cocky? You think you’re something just because you’re a champion now?" Liu Qiang sneered. Wang Tao was his man. He feared Zhang Xiaofan, but Bai Qi was nothing to him.

"Wang Tao is mine. Even a dog’s master must be shown respect. Do you know what happens to those who cross me?" Liu Qiang threatened. Now that he’d risen in status, he spoke with more arrogance.

At that moment, a voice rang out:

"Isn’t this Liu the Buffoon from the Liu family? Tell me, what happens to those who cross you?"

As the voice sounded, a young man strode calmly into view. At the sight of him, Liu Qiang’s face changed instantly. Bai Qi broke into a wide smile, and not far away, Yin Rou Rou’s eyes lit up. Many others looked on with awe and respect.

It was Zhang Xiaofan himself. Despite hurrying, he had still arrived late, only to hear Liu Qiang’s bluster as he entered.

"Brother," Bai Qi greeted respectfully.

"Stand back and watch how I deal with this kind of person," Zhang Xiaofan said coolly, glancing at Wang Tao, still in Bai Qi’s grasp.

He smiled faintly. "What did you just call me? Some ‘so-called brother’?"

"No, no! I didn’t say anything like that!" Wang Tao recognized Zhang Xiaofan immediately—this was a madman even Liu Qiang feared, let alone himself.

"Really? But I heard you quite clearly."

Zhang Xiaofan smiled, then his face turned cold. He threw a punch, deliberately keeping it clean—he aimed only for Wang Tao’s face, not wanting to make a bloody mess. Even so, half of Wang Tao’s teeth were knocked loose, and his face swelled grotesquely.

"I’m sorry! I’m sorry! Please, let me go!" Wang Tao sobbed, terrified that this madman would take it even further.

Zhang Xiaofan smiled at Bai Qi. "See? When dealing with idiots, you have to be ruthless."

Bai Qi nodded in understanding—he’d been too gentle before.

Still smiling, Zhang Xiaofan turned to Liu Qiang. At the look in Zhang Xiaofan’s eyes, Liu Qiang’s heart clenched in terror. He rushed to say, "Brother Zhang, Big Brother Zhang—this has nothing to do with me!"

"Oh? Nothing to do with you?" Zhang Xiaofan smiled. "I’m a reasonable man. If it really has nothing to do with you, I won’t trouble you. But if it does, you know what I’m capable of."

Hearing this, Liu Qiang felt a chill run down his spine.

Zhang Xiaofan looked back to Wang Tao. "Now, I’ll ask and you’ll answer. If you lie, you already know what happens."

"Yes, yes, I’ll tell the truth!" Wang Tao replied desperately.

"Who put you up to this?" Zhang Xiaofan asked.

Liu Qiang, realizing what was coming, frantically signaled Wang Tao to keep quiet—but Wang Tao was only looking out for himself now.

"It was Liu Qiang. He told me to do it."

"Alright, you’re off the hook," Zhang Xiaofan said with a smile, nodding to Bai Qi. "Let him go."

He turned his gaze back to Liu Qiang, still smiling.

"Sir, Master Zhang, please let me go. I’m still not fully recovered from last time," Liu Qiang pleaded, his former arrogance utterly vanished. The crowd looked on with a mix of astonishment and mockery.

Feng Qingyang held back those who wanted to intervene. Some people needed to be taught a lesson, otherwise they’d never learn.

If Liu Qiang hadn’t paid his way in, he wouldn’t even have qualified to attend—his only aim was to show off and chase girls.

"Heh, not bad—you do learn quickly. But why not just admit the truth earlier?" Zhang Xiaofan said with a smile. "Since you’re being sensible, I’ll give you a chance. I won’t beat you."

"What chance?" Liu Qiang asked.

"Simple. Since you’re rich, donate a hundred million to the school’s scholarship fund for poor students. That way, you’ll be doing some good," Zhang Xiaofan said.

"A hundred million…"

Liu Qiang was stunned. Though he had risen to power, the Liu family’s assets had been fractured, seized and swallowed by others. He barely had two hundred million left. To give away half would be like cutting off his own arm.

"Don’t want to?" Zhang Xiaofan’s voice turned cold. "You know perfectly well you’re just lucky to be where you are now. If I wanted, I could have you sleeping on the street tomorrow—do you believe it?"
