“Mr. Gao, please calm down. Our data is absolutely accurate; there’s no possibility of any errors.”
“So you’re saying I’m inferior to that useless guy?” Gao Chong shouted angrily.
The receptionist continued to smile, “Mr. Gao, you’re overthinking it. That’s not what I meant. Your results are indeed excellent, but compared to Mr. Lin, there is still a gap.”
“You only cleared an ordinary instance, whereas Mr. Lin triggered a hidden boss. In essence, his challenge was more difficult.”
“And Mr. Lin’s speed was indeed faster than your team’s.”
Gao Chong pointed at the receptionist’s face, “What do you mean by that? Is this how you speak to your customers?”
“We’re simply following your lead, Mr. Gao. If you continue making trouble here, I am authorized to revoke your eligibility for future entry tickets.”

The receptionist spoke quietly, with no trace of emotion, anger or otherwise.

Even if it meant offending an important client, order here must be maintained.
Gao Chong’s raised fist paused midair, then he swung his arm heavily and said, “Fine. Well done. Wait and see, I’ll lodge a face-to-face complaint with Manager Tian about you.”
The receptionist remained gentle as ever, “Please do.”
“Hmph!”
Gao Chong turned and left. “Captain, let’s pick up the pace. Can we beat that score?”
The captain shook his head, “As much as I’d like to earn your money, that score is already astonishing. Our training team can’t achieve it.”
“Boss, our score is already more than enough. Most people couldn’t surpass it.”
“Couldn’t surpass it?” Gao Chong laughed maniacally, pointing at Lin Han’s results on the big screen. “There’s someone who entered after me but finished before me, with every metric outperforming mine.”
“He’s supposed to be a support class, so how could he possibly do this?”
“Wait!”
Suddenly, Gao Chong had a realization. He exclaimed, “It must be the Golden Training Team. If it wasn’t them, Lin Han and Wang Qiang couldn’t have gotten this score.”
“It must be Wang Qiang; he must have arranged it.”
At this moment, Gao Chong believed this to be the only reasonable explanation. Without the Golden Training Team, such results were impossible!
The captain beside him wanted to explain that even the Golden Training Team couldn’t achieve that score, but seeing Gao Chong’s state, he held his tongue.
He just wanted to quietly finish earning his share.
Whatever the boss wanted to do was none of their concern.

“Is that guy crazy?” whispered one of the staff leaning against the front desk.
The receptionist smiled, “It’s nothing but jealousy. After enough hardship, the world will teach him his lesson.”
The staff member laughed, “These young masters have never suffered. They’re in the same class, but Mr. Lin is quiet and composed, while Gao Chong always thinks he’s the center of everything.”
“If I were you, I’d have thrown that rich kid out already.”
“Even if Manager Tian blames us later, we’d have a case. It’s obvious this young lord is just causing trouble for no reason.”
“Forget it, forget it. Even with Manager Tian backing us, we can’t abuse our authority.”

A few days later, Lin Han woke early and stretched.
Today was an important day for Lin Han and his fellow graduates—the entrance examination.

“Lin Han, hurry up! It’s time for the exam!” Wang Qiang’s voice called from outside the window. Their houses weren’t far apart, so whoever woke first would always go to find the other—a tacit understanding between them.

Lin Han quickly packed the magic scrolls and items he’d bought at the trading market, then hurried downstairs to meet Wang Qiang.
