Chapter 110: Save Me, Brutal Priest!
"Kindness?"
Yuan Si twisted in midair to adjust his position. Just as he was about to land, he planted the tip of his toe on a minotaur’s head and sprang up once more.
"I’ve never met anyone as despicable as you in my whole life!"
He got away?
Lin Han was somewhat surprised. He had not expected Yuan Si’s reactions to be so fast; to make such a decision in a single instant was something countless people his age could not do.
Just as both of them were thinking this, a minotaur suddenly seized Yuan Si by the leg and brutally yanked him back.
"Go to hell!"
Yuan Si screamed himself hoarse as all the minotaurs surged forward, raining punches and kicks down on him.
"You scared me half to death. I really thought you were going to run." Lin Han sat to one side, watching the spectacle with delight. "Yuan Si, if you beg me now, maybe I’ll help you a little."
Yuan Si relied on his speed to weave madly through the minotaurs, cursing as he went. "Not a chance. A real man who stands beneath heaven and earth would never bow his head and beg!"
Hearing that, Lin Han teased, "No rush. No rush."
Even Lin Han had to admire Yuan Si’s skill. Under the barrage of so many minotaurs, he was still holding his vital parts tightly protected. Though his injuries were gradually mounting, they were not serious.
In fact, Yuan Si had already found a rhythm and was gradually preparing to break through the minotaurs’ defensive line.
Impressive.
Lin Han could not help but sigh inwardly. If he did not have the system’s ten-thousand-fold boost, Yuan Si would probably have breezed through this admissions trial and taken the top spot.
Even if Lin Han really awakened as a warrior, he might not necessarily be able to surpass Yuan Si as he was now.
Yuan Si steadily burst forward, pouring all his speed into his body. In the end, he truly broke through the minotaurs’ blockade and rushed out.
"Lin Han, how about that? I’m pretty amazing, aren’t I? Sorry to disappoint you—your plan failed."
Yuan Si shouted mockingly at Lin Han, his face flushed with excitement.
"Don’t celebrate too soon."
Lin Han pointed to the area in front of Yuan Si and smiled. "Didn’t your teacher ever tell you that assassins must always watch their surroundings?"
Yuan Si stared at him in bewilderment, not understanding what he meant. Then he turned his head back—and froze on the spot.
"When did another group of minotaurs show up here?!"
After making that judgment, Yuan Si hurried to the right, but two packs of minotaurs were already closing in from both sides, finally hemming him in completely.
"This is bad."
Yuan Si scanned the surroundings with caution. Now there was no gap above or below; every route was sealed shut. Yet he was only a second-awakening assassin, with no way to escape at all.
The only method left was to carve a bloody path straight through.
But in direct combat, unless one had a level advantage, an assassin’s frontal fighting ability was not very strong.
Lin Han said gleefully, "Beg me. As long as you beg me, how about I go down and help you right away? I’m being completely sincere. Everyone knows that."
Yuan Si said stubbornly, "Not a chance. Even if I die today, I will never beg you!"
Beg him?
That was pure fantasy.
Much less beg Lin Han, that shameless bastard.
That was worse than dying outright.
The next instant, the minotaurs swarmed in and surrounded Yuan Si. Even though two of them occasionally fell, Yuan Si was already reaching his limit.
"These things are really tough!" Yuan Si roared, and the daggers in his hands flashed wildly, leaving streaks of blood in the air.
"Not bad. You can actually hold on this long."
Lin Han watched as if he were observing a match, offering a comment now and then.
Yuan Si’s performance had indeed exceeded his expectations. To achieve this much with nothing but an assassin’s class was already remarkable.
It was just that the brat was too stubborn and sharp-tongued; even trying to beat down that arrogance was such a hassle.
By now, the minotaurs had completely swallowed Yuan Si. Lin Han’s legs tensed as well, ready to charge in and drag him out at any moment.
He had no hatred for Yuan Si. They had only met once. There was no way he could stand by and watch such a person die before his eyes.
Just as Lin Han was about to strike, a cry suddenly rang out from within the minotaur swarm.
"Lin Han, save me!"
Hearing that, Lin Han smiled faintly.
"Hold on. I’m coming!"
Then Lin Han leaped high, drew together his strength in a single punch, and smashed it heavily into the minotaur horde, forcibly tearing open a gap in what had been an impenetrable wall of bodies.
"You were the one who asked me for help, not the other way around."
Lin Han placed Yuan Si behind him, then took the minotaur horned helmet from his own head and tossed it to Yuan Si.
"Put it on. From here on, leave this to me."
Yuan Si stared at him blankly. "I only took a chance. I never thought you’d really come. Were you trying to take this chance to get rid of me?"
"Who do you think you are? Get rid of you?" Lin Han was speechless. "I’m not that bored. I was just joking with you."
Yuan Si went on, "Have you even considered that even if you jumped in here, the two of us still wouldn’t have the strength to cut our way out of so many minotaurs? If things go badly, both of us could die here."
"It is indeed a bit difficult," Lin Han said earnestly.
"That’s why you should put on the minotaur helmet. I’ll hold them off for a while, then after you get out, lure them away and throw the helmet back to me. Or I can hold them here for a bit myself right now."
As Yuan Si was explaining his plan, Lin Han said, "I hadn’t finished what I was saying. Yes, escaping without killing them would be troublesome. In that case, we’ll just kill them all."
"What? Kill them all?"
"Lin Han, do you even understand what you’re saying? There are over a hundred minotaurs here, all level fifteen or higher. So what if you’re already at your third advancement now?"
"Your strength really is great, but in the end you’re still a support-type class. We don’t have much time left. If we keep wasting time like this, both of us will die here!"
Lin Han stepped forward and threw a punch. The chest of the minotaur that had been so imposing a moment ago instantly burst open with a bloody hole.
"Yuan Si, don’t forget the nickname you gave me. Do you really think I’m just a healer?"
"A nickname?"
At that moment, the words rose in Yuan Si’s mind.
"Violent Priest!"
