Chapter 112: Let Us Call Each Other Brothers!
Meanwhile, elsewhere on the battlefield, Yuan Si, wearing his bull-head cap, stood utterly dumbfounded. He had never witnessed a fight so simple and brutal, where someone could achieve such carnage using nothing but their bare fists.
Now, before him, the ground was littered with minotaur corpses; out of the original hundred, only a handful remained. Lin Han, fierce and unstoppable, fought like a god of war—no, to be more precise, like a god of slaughter, fearless and relentless. Yuan Si could not find any word to adequately describe the blood-soaked scene unfolding before his eyes.
He had thought Lin Han’s boasts were nothing more than bravado, but the longer he watched, the more convinced he became that this man truly could do as he claimed.
With a thunderous crash, another minotaur fell.

As the experience points rained down, Lin Han confirmed his suspicions. Though these minotaurs were similar in strength to the hidden boss he had encountered before, their combat abilities were clearly inferior. The last hidden boss had granted over two thousand experience points for a single kill; now, each minotaur only yielded a little over a thousand.
Split evenly among the five, Lin Han received barely three hundred points per kill—a paltry sum for him. Still, after slaying more than a hundred minotaurs, he had amassed over thirty thousand experience points, which was acceptable.
He had advanced from level twenty to twenty-two, yet thirty thousand experience points had only raised him two levels; once, such an amount would have been enough for ten. He recalled his teachers at school saying that the third class transfer was a turning point. Although the difference between the second and third transfer seemed insignificant in name, the change was substantial in practice. His priest class amplified this shift considerably; upon reaching the third transfer, he could absorb the Source of Calamity as his own.
Lost in thought, Lin Han returned to Yuan Si’s side.
“How are you? Are you alright?” Lin Han asked.
Yuan Si brushed dust from his clothes and replied, “I’m fine, just a few scratches.”
“That’s good. You must be at max level now, right?”
Yuan Si checked his experience bar and exclaimed, “I really did hit max level! Damn, these minotaurs gave me over thirty thousand experience points—unbelievable.”
“Of course,” Lin Han replied, unsurprised. “Individually, their worth isn’t much, but together it’s significant. You’re only at your second class transfer, and the experience cap is just twenty or thirty thousand. After slaying so many minotaurs, it’s only natural you’ve reached max level.”
“This golden dungeon was well worth it.” Yuan Si beamed. “Lin Han, though we’ve had our differences, from now on, we’re brothers. Without you, I never would have maxed out so quickly. Now I can take on the third transfer quest!”
“At this pace, I bet no assassin in the world can match me!”
Lin Han could see Yuan Si was genuinely delighted. What once took months or even a year had been accomplished in days.
“But don’t get too cocky. I know an assassin who’s already at her fourth transfer in even less time.”
He was referring, of course, to Fei Hua, the prodigy. Despite being the same age, Lin Han hadn’t achieved his fourth transfer, but that seemingly carefree girl possessed talent beyond compare.
“You’re not kidding?” Yuan Si was incredulous. It had only been a couple of months since their awakening—how could someone reach the fourth transfer already? What kind of genius was capable of such a feat?
“Why would I lie?” Lin Han rolled his eyes, then added, “My friend’s sister reached the third transfer in even less time.”
“You’re just not up to par...” Hearing this, Yuan Si felt his worldview crumbling. What he’d once been proud of suddenly seemed less impressive.

Experience points continued to flicker across the message box. Lin Han knew Wang Qiang and the others were still fighting. He wasn’t worried; with Fei Hua present, nothing could go wrong.
“Should we regroup or keep going?” Yuan Si asked.
Now that he fully believed in Lin Han’s strength, having such a violent priest—a melee healer—by his side filled him with confidence. He sought Lin Han’s opinion.
“Let’s go deeper. There’s no need to worry about them. I still need plenty of minotaurs to level up,” Lin Han decided.
“Isn’t your friend still over there? I faced him in a match—Wang Qiang, right? The card master. He’s got decent skills, but handling so many minotaurs might be too much for him. Are we sure we shouldn’t help?”
Lin Han smiled, “Relax, there’s a third-transfer assassin with them. Nothing to worry about.”
“A third-transfer assassin?” Yuan Si asked quickly. “Is that the one you mentioned?”
“No, you’re mistaken,” Lin Han laughed. “That’s another one. You’ll meet her one day, if you get the chance.”
“Alright then.” Yuan Si breathed a sigh of relief. “I never imagined a healer would have so many assassin friends.”
“Maybe I’m just naturally compatible with assassins...” The two, joking and chatting, had moved past their initial rivalry and begun to forge a friendship.
...
Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield, things were far from relaxed.
“The Double Silken Thread can barely hold out...” Liu Yun Yun lay sprawled on the ground, pain radiating through her body, not a single part left unscathed. Agony spread through her, a testament to Wang Qiang’s battered state.
In that moment, the invisible thread connecting them snapped. Liu Yun Yun let out a long breath, while Wang Qiang’s body, as if a bomb had detonated within him, was filled with shards and fragments flooding his organs. The pain that had been shared was suddenly restored to him in full.
