Upon hearing this, Zigu suddenly grinned and said, “I am wealthy beyond measure, of noble birth, and my appearance is not too shabby. Why don’t you consider sending an elven maiden to be my wife?”

Everyone broke out in cold sweat...

The High Priest of the elves hadn’t expected such a request and replied awkwardly, “Well… sir, if you ever visit our elven tribe, you may pursue any unmarried elven maiden yourself. But I have no authority to give anyone to you, nor does the Queen herself possess such power.”

“How stingy,” Zigu muttered with a pout, dissatisfied. “And to think I fought so desperately for you all!”

Everyone wiped their brow… In truth, it seemed that in the battle against the Dragon King, the real fighters were Mutou and the others—this rascal scarcely contributed at all.

“Xiaofeng, I’m leaving as well. Take this; with it, you may visit the elven tribe in the future and will be treated with the highest honor!” Xiusi pressed a wooden token into Gu Feng’s palm. On it was carved a massive sacred tree—the World Tree upon which the elves’ existence depended.

“Mr. Xiusi, are you settling among the elves?” Gu Feng asked in surprise, gazing at the token. The elven tribe was known for its insularity, rarely allowing outsiders into their domain. Even if Xiusi was one of the strongest beings alive and had earned their friendship, there seemed little reason for him to reside among them.

Xiusi did not answer Gu Feng’s question.

“When you reach the elven tribe, you’ll understand.” With those words, Xiusi turned to leave, followed by a group of elves, including the High Priest, who hurried after him. It appeared he was indeed their leader.

Once the elves departed, the surviving mages and sword saints of the Snow Kingdom and Western Empire stepped forward to express their gratitude. They had been unable to intervene in the recent battle, forced to watch from afar. Now that Gu Feng had broken through the boundaries and become one of the strongest, they offered their congratulations.

Gu Feng had no interest in idle chatter and waved them off. He then noticed something unusual: the Xuan Yue priestess had not left. Instead, she seemed to be pleading with Zigu for something. Zigu formed a seal with his hands, and, following the method imparted by Xiaoyaozi, absorbed the Xuan Yue priestess into the “Harem.”

Everyone was astonished, their eyes nearly popping out. The “Harem” had restrictions: to absorb someone stronger than oneself, the target must willingly accept the role of servant. Once inside, bound by the Harem’s rules, the woman would obey Zigu for life—in other words, he could do as he pleased with her. Given the Xuan Yue priestess’s temperament, how could she possibly agree?

So, they called Zigu over.

“Did you just absorb the Xuan Yue priestess into the Harem?” Gu Feng asked.

“Yes! Is there a problem?”

“That woman is fierce—how did you manage it?” Mutou inquired, curiosity shining in his eyes.

“Heh, of course it was my commanding presence and irresistible charm—she wept and begged to be my concubine. You know I’m soft-hearted; seeing her in tears, I reluctantly agreed!”

Damn… Everyone cursed inwardly, their disbelief and disdain plain on their faces.

“Sigh, why so serious? Actually, she was severely wounded when the Dragon King shattered her ‘One-Finger Xuan Yue.’ I gave her a magical bean, soaked in a secret potion—the Heart of Temptation. After she consumed it, her consciousness became centered on me; whatever I ask, she obeys, absolutely loyal, never betraying!” Zigu wore a wicked grin. “Though she’s not young, her skin is flawless and her looks above average—still youthful and beautiful, a rare mature beauty. Hahaha!”

Everyone exchanged glances—this rascal was truly devious, tampering during healing. But…

Baldy raised a thumb. “Brilliant!”

Mutou praised, “Genius!”

Gu Feng chuckled, “You’re exceptionally cunning… but I thoroughly support your approach!”

With that, all except Lu Daoxuan broke into mischievous laughter.

“Still… the potion affects her consciousness, but to subdue her so easily—she’s supposed to be quite formidable!” Gu Feng said, concerned.

“Heh! There’s another drug that would erase her mind entirely, making her utterly obedient. But then she’d be like Mutou—uh, no offense, Mutou!—like a walking corpse. We don’t play with such low-level stuff,” Zigu said smugly. “I told her, besides becoming a deity, there’s another way to gain long life and eternal youth. She begged to be absorbed into the Harem!”

“Oh… what method?” Everyone asked curiously.

“Heh! Seems your intelligence network isn’t up to par! As a plane agent, you need broad sources. In the Cultivation Plane, someone sells a thing called Ginseng Fruit. Supposedly, eating it grants thousands of years of life. I thought it was exaggeration, but the plane system confirms its authenticity. Alas, it’s so expensive I can’t afford it.”

“So you gave her an empty promise, got her protection, and can… enjoy her company?” Gu Feng teased wickedly.

“Hahaha! Born to my parents, understood by Gu Feng!” The two rogues laughed shamelessly.

“Wait, Ginseng Fruit!” Mutou found the name familiar. After pondering, he recalled the twenty-fourth chapter of ‘Journey to the West’: On Longevity Mountain at the Five Villages Monastery grew a spirit root—also called Grass Returning Pill, or Ginseng Fruit. The tree blossomed once every three thousand years, bore fruit another three thousand, and matured after three thousand more. If fated, smelling it granted three hundred sixty years; eating one bestowed forty-seven thousand years.

Mutou recited this passage. Zigu exclaimed, “Hey, that’s exactly what the plane agent described! If your basic material plane really has this thing, we’d have struck gold!”

Mutou shook his head. “The Ginseng Fruit legend comes from the ancient supernatural novel ‘Journey to the West.’ Though the real world has ginseng fruits of various kinds, none grant three hundred sixty years by mere scent, nor make anyone immortal. Still, there are several types of ginseng fruit that promote health, cure illnesses, and prolong life.”

At this, Lu Daoxuan interjected, “Mythical tales aren’t always pure fantasy. Remember, you mentioned the Golden Flood Scissors, another legendary item, and you actually found it. Some legends may have factual basis.” He paused, then added, “Judging by the Golden Flood Scissors’ shape, it should be a formidable weapon, yet Yun Zhongxian only summons the two dragon souls inside to assist her, never fully unleashing its S-grade power.”

Mutou explained, “She was bound by the Golden Flood Scissors for thousands of years, losing eighty to ninety percent of her cultivation, unable to wield its true power. If not for the dragon souls, she might not be any stronger than I once was.”

Lu Daoxuan nodded. “Indeed! The Dragon King’s Dragon Essence will restore her lost cultivation, and by my calculations, the Dragon King had reached the level of divinity. Once Yun Zhongxian fully integrates the Dragon Essence, we’ll have a divine-level ally!”

Everyone was delighted at this prospect. In the vast expanse of the planes, with countless unpredictable threats, another powerful ally meant less danger.

“Zigu has collected the Dragon King’s blood and flesh. As I understand, dragon blood’s genes are extremely dominant, among the best below the gods. Baldy, work with Zigu to extract an advanced evolution solution from the dragon blood. Bathing in dragon blood only gives limited physical enhancement; we must maximize the Dragon King’s remaining value.”

At these words, Zigu pulled a sour face. “No wonder you agreed so readily when I asked for the Dragon King’s corpse—clearly, you’d already planned to use me.”

Seeing Zigu’s helpless, outmaneuvered expression, everyone burst out laughing.

“Damn!” Gu Feng suddenly slapped his forehead, annoyed. “Ah, I forgot something!” He looked at the ruined relics of the ancient magical civilization, troubled. “We came to investigate the cause of the palace guards’ mutation—how are we supposed to do that now?”

“Guardian Mage!” The Grand Sage, who had been silent, hurried to explain, “No need to worry. The High Priest of the elves already informed me: the reason for the guards’ mutation was the loosening of the sixfold curse seal on the Deification Altar, causing some gases from the Divine Laboratory to leak. As long as those mutated guards are eliminated, the issue will be resolved!”

Gu Feng and Mutou had discussed plane-related topics through the trading system, inaudible to anyone else. It was only when Gu Feng suddenly remembered their mission and blurted it out that the elves’ High Priest, anticipating their purpose, had explained it to the Grand Sage.

“So, our task is complete? Then let’s all go home!” Mutou suggested. He’d twice frantically channeled the world’s energy to assist Gu Feng, leaving his stamina and spirit drained. He only wanted to return and rest, and after the battle with the Dragon King, Fearless One had taken heavy damage. Though its core eternal energy reactor remained intact, it required repairs, so contacting Nanshan of the Silicon Plane was necessary.

“What are you saying?” Gu Feng protested. “You’ve all arrived in my plane—at least let me host you! Besides, we’ve achieved our goal, and the original plan to slay the dragon succeeded. Even the Dragon King is dead; we ought to celebrate!”
