Kana looked at this brand-new skill-related page.
Just like in the game, it was divided into passive and active skills.
Passive skills take effect automatically and cannot have their proficiency increased.
Active skills must be triggered manually, and long-term practice will increase their proficiency.
Although it was slightly different from the game—after all, this was a skill system, not a class system.
In the game, skills and class systems were bound together. The reason it wasn't a complete system from the start was that a single [Genesis Stone Fragment] was clearly insufficient to construct a full class system.
Of course, there were some adjustments based on reality, but the general logic remained the same.
For instance, skill proficiency was roughly divided into five levels:
Apprentice, Adept, Proficient, Master, Grandmaster.

[Page 2/3]
Moreover, looking at this skill set, [Blood Magic], which he had been completely unable to use or master before, was now directly displayed.
Slowly raising his hands, he could feel the flow of mana; the veins on his arms bulged and became distinct, clearly visible.
On the skill bar, the proficiency for this skill ticked upward slightly.
After testing each skill, Kana began to form some ideas.
Compared to before he had the skill page, he felt they were easier to use, or perhaps more firmly grasped.
It was an indescribable experience that one could only understand through personal practice.
The gains this time were, in every sense, significant.
Now it was time to sort through the remaining, comparatively less important, acquisitions.
Kana looked at the pile of items on the table.
He picked up the spatial pouch and packed the alchemy materials inside; these materials and the alchemy tools were temporarily unusable.
But they would certainly be a path to rapidly strengthening his abilities.
Only the Knowledge Crystal, the silver round shield, and the metal orb remained on the table.
Kana first picked up the Knowledge Crystal and poured his remaining meager mana into it.
It was, as expected of a crystal, perfectly preserved.
As the mana merged with it, the crystal emitted a faint glow, and the knowledge within flowed through the mana into Kana's mind.
However, this knowledge was merely information; Kana didn't master it instantly, but rather memorized it.
Wait... hm?
He seemed to understand some of it? Theoretically, that shouldn't have happened.
As the fundamental knowledge related to alchemy integrated into his mind, Kana opened his eyes and looked at the now-dim crystal in his hand; it was spent.
He opened his skill bar.
Indeed, a new skill had been added under active skills.
【Basic Alchemy—Metal】
【Proficiency: Apprentice (0/100)】
【Special Effect: Allows for mana-based alchemy on metal items, enabling "mana-infusion" creation.】
【Description: The School of Metal Alchemy is the foundational knowledge for all disciplines related to metal.】
In the game, this skill would have been categorized under the sub-class system.
Since there was no class or sub-class system, all skills were grouped together.
Regardless, by using the Knowledge Crystal, he was now able to use it directly.
In the normal course of reality, such a thing would be impossible; a Knowledge Crystal typically only implants information into the mind.
Especially for knowledge requiring hands-on practice, one would normally need to practice step-by-step to claim mastery.

But now, with the skill system, this knowledge had undergone the most basic form of learning.
In other words, Kana could start working immediately, though the chances of error and failure remained high.
However, through such errors and failures, his proficiency would rise rapidly.
Compared to a true alchemy apprentice, his progress would be ten or even dozens of times faster.
With only a little mana left, Kana looked at the remaining shield and metal orb.
He would have to wait until his mana recovered tomorrow to digitize them.
There was also the Puppeteer's Experimental Manual.
That would also require time to study, as there was no Knowledge Crystal for it.
Blood Magic, Alchemy, Puppetry.
He was so busy, not to mention that he wasn't exactly in a safe place.
Rien and Kecha had already returned to the front lines last night, and if things went as expected, Black would likely be transferred to the front as well.
After all, Black was a Level 3 Knight; keeping him by Kana's side was a waste, as the front line needed such strength.
If Black were transferred, it would mean the situation at the front was dire.
Would his advice be taken by the Count?
To be honest, Kana was a bit worried, primarily due to his status.
He was the Fourth Prince of the royal family, a prince whom most nobles viewed as a mere playboy.
In such a crisis, the Count couldn't trust him, or at least not entirely.
But his actions over the last few days should have reached the Count's ears, and that should at least slightly alter the man's opinion.
The best-case scenario for Kana was for the Count to grant him some autonomy, or at least assign him a few men to help build rafts.
He certainly didn't expect the entire town to be under his command.
Calculated by time, if the front line started to falter, the Count would likely begin a fighting retreat, constantly pulling back his defensive lines.
Until, eventually, a final major battle would take place in front of Riverbend Town.
It was foreseeable that in a few days, small scouting parties of the Blood Clan would begin roaming around the town and this region.
The Blood Clan loved to use combinations of two Ghouls and one Giant Bat, scattering many such scouting squads across various areas.
They were nearly impossible to intercept, and these squads would destroy and harass everything they encountered.
Looking at his experience bar, he was just a little short of leveling up.
Kana decided to continue training.
As for the Void monsters or other invaders from the outside, those were problems for later. After all, the most urgent crisis currently was the Blood Clan right before his eyes.
