My, today’s experience was as turbulent as the first time I learned to fly back when I was a hatchling.
Even though my little wings were already capable of flapping, I just couldn't muster the courage to face the vast sky.
If other little dragons found out that I, a dragon, was afraid of heights, they would surely laugh until they rolled on the ground.
Every time Father asked me to fly, I could only resort to crying to muddle through it.
But that trick didn't work on Mother.
In the end, I was forced to stand at the edge of the cliff.
I had to prove with real action that I wasn't just a ground dragon destined to stay on the earth for the rest of my life.
The wind that day was particularly clamorous.
Standing at the cliff's edge and looking down, a vast expanse of white mist blocked the view, so thick that I couldn't see anything below.
I clung tightly to Mother’s leg, trying to awaken her maternal instincts.
But all I got was one cold word: "Jump."
Not knowing what would happen, I thought at the time that there couldn't be a mother in the world more heartless than mine.
I can hardly remember how I convinced myself to jump back then.
Perhaps, maybe, possibly, it was out of a tiny bit of rebellion.
"Once I learn to fly, I'll fly far away, so you'll never find me again, and you'll regret it!"
Thinking back, I was so incredibly naive.
However, it was that little bit of rebellion that sparked a sense of defiance in me.
Suddenly, I wasn't afraid of heights anymore, and my wings were able to flap.
Although it was a struggle to fly, it was definitely better than falling straight down like a round, chubby meatball.
It was then that I saw what lay beneath the thick fog—
A vibrant river of strawberries.
In that slow-moving river, countless strawberries were floating.
Since I was born, I had never seen so many strawberries.
I later learned that some were picked by my parents, while others were gathered by nearby dragons and other animals, paid for with gemstones as a reward.
As I flew downward, my parents flew to my side.
"My daughter, I am so glad you are a brave little dragon. This strawberry river is a reward for your courage," Mother said.
"But what if I didn't have the courage and just stubbornly refused to go?" my innocent self asked back then.
Her answer remains fresh in my memory.
She said:
"Even without courage, you would still be our daughter! We would just consider you a clumsy ground dragon who can't fly, and we would love and care for you even more carefully. We would teach you how to identify various ores, how to trade and interact with other dragons, and we would take care of you until you were able to stand on your own."
At that moment, I knew my mother was the best mother in the world!
My father, too, is the best father in the world!
And I, for sure, will become the best gemstone dragon in the world!
Being pushed to a dead end and jumping off a cliff is nothing to be afraid of, because underneath there will always be a sweet-smelling strawberry river to catch me.

It was just like what happened today, even though I couldn't beat that group of stinky lizards and was chased by them, I had no choice but to jump into the cave entrance.
But it was precisely because I jumped that I was able to obtain a treasure as precious as a Dragon Pearl.
The only regret is that I couldn't catch Linde when he jumped down, and I almost caused him to...
It was such a perfect opportunity to let Linde understand that I could be the strawberry river that catches him.
But I messed it up...
Next time, next time I will definitely catch him and not let him suffer any harm!
Just like the love my parents made me feel, I will definitely pass it on to him.
Come to think of it, Linde doesn't know how to fly, yet the first time he rode with me, he didn't even complain or ask to get down despite the speed.
Looking at it that way, Linde is quite brave; he's a pretty remarkable person!
(Below is a drawing of a simple stick figure with a bright, smiling face next to it.)

Today I watched Linde build a small hut with blocks of earth.
When there were only a few pillars, it looked ugly as can be.
But to my surprise, once Linde connected the pillars, it suddenly became much more pleasing to the eye.
Especially after he added lots of small wildflowers and vines as decorations; it made me want to move in already.
However, there is one thing I can't figure out.
Why did Linde build a door at both the front and the back of the hut? Wouldn't one door be enough for coming and going?
He shouldn't be so silly as to not realize that.
What's even stranger is that the back door can't even be opened?!
Linde piled blocks completely against it.
When I asked him why he did that...
"Because the door cannot be opened from this side," he said.

Today I watched Linde planting things.
I don't get it; isn't it easier to just pick what's already grown and eat it?
You plant the seeds, then have to wait a long, long time before you can eat.
With that much time, I could have dug up a whole pile of food within a few miles.
But Linde told me that what you grow yourself tastes much better because your own sweat has melted into the soil; only with effort is the harvest truly precious.
He also tried to explain it to me from a scientific perspective—something about survival of the fittest, artificial selection, preserving mutant plants, and blah, blah, blah.
Well, I think I prefer the first explanation better.
By the way, when I was feeding Little Pink today, I noticed a layer of golden slime oozing from its body.
It scared me, and I thought it was sick, so I hurriedly went to find Linde.
But even Linde couldn't figure out what was going on.

When the golden slime from Little Pink dripped onto the grass, the weeds suddenly grew at a rapid speed, shooting up so high!
They were almost up to Linde's shoulders.
At that moment, Linde’s eyes sparkled, exactly the same way mine do when I find treasure.
"Golden Fertilizer!"
"No more worries about crops!"
Then he scooped up Little Pink and ran off, leaving me behind.
Boo-hoo...
I've been left out.
My chest feels icy, and my heart feels cold.
Is this what a maiden's worries are like...

Today I watched Linde carry a basket of tools as he went out to mine.
Staying behind to guard the base, I taught Shirona some basic Dragon language.
She is very smart—no, I should say she is both smart and hardworking.
A couple of days ago, I noticed her quietly hiding in the trees, imitating the things Linde and I say every day.
She must have been trying to figure out the meanings of those words back then.
What a good dragon.
At the same time, I realized something very critical, which is—
Why have I always just been watching Linde do all the work?
Victoria, oh Victoria!
Starting tomorrow, I must help Linde share the workload. I can't just be lazy, sunbathing and thinking only about eating.
Come on!
You can do it!

I wanted to help Linde plow the field, but I ended up making things worse...
I accidentally knocked over his hut with my backside.
I got a good scolding and even got beaten, waaaaah...
Now he’s stormed off somewhere in a rage.
I’m a little worried he won't come back.
I...
