What kind of skill is just beating up the elderly supposed to be!? Watching Ron so effortlessly take down ten henchmen, Aleka’s simmering rage threatened to take solid form. Though he was despicable, cunning, evil, cruel, and ruthless—a devoted follower of the Compassionate Matron—at this moment, even he longed for fairness and justice.
“Ah!!!”
As Ron turned to face him, Aleka steeled himself, suppressing his high blood pressure, osteoporosis, Parkinson’s, diabetes, and herniated discs—ailments befitting his old age—and forced his back upright. His magical energy surged like a tidal wave but fell short of what he desired. The radiant holy light lodged inside him was like a cactus piercing his innards; the pain was excruciating. A few inches of agony—better off without it!
Bang—
A spray of blood erupted from his lower body, chilling Ron to his core. Hastily, Ron pressed the healing holy light back into Aleka’s backside.
“Ah!!!”
The familiar scream echoed through the forest once more. Aleka’s eyes rolled back, revealing the whites, tears streaming from the corners.
“Kill me now,” he thought.
He admitted he had underestimated Ron. Initially, he believed Ron was favored by the Mother Goddess for his ingratitude, betrayal, and shamelessness. But now it seemed this guy was equally merciless in torment.
The blond youth was unaware of the thoughts of the so-called “Throat of Agony.” His mind was fixed on only one thing: using his newly upgraded Holy Sword Technique to liberate Mr. Aleka from this tormenting purgatory.
Well done! The Holy Light Element gave the kind-hearted boy a thumbs up.
“Holy Sword Technique!”
The soft command was barely audible amid the wails in the forest. As Ron lifted his longsword, his magical energy resonated anew with the Holy Light Element.
In an instant, his arm grew heavy as countless golden rays coalesced into form, rapidly weaving around the blade.
Upon reaching master rank, the Holy Sword Technique caused no drastic changes to Ron’s handgun, only making it feel heavier in hand. The caliber of the fearsome barrel seemed slightly larger, exuding immense power.
Boom—

Boom—
Boom—
Thunderous cannon fire exploded from the muzzle. What shot forth was no mere bullet but three grenadelike shells, condensed with Holy Light Element and radiating warmth and brightness like three miniature suns, instantly appearing before the stunned Aleka.
Under normal conditions, he might have used his speed and strength advantage to dodge or fully block the “Holy Light Shells.” But now, he was helpless.
Boom!!!
An endless eruption of holy light burst forth, its blazing radiance as warm as the blond youth’s kindness and benevolence, warming the sky, the earth, and Aleka’s heart.
The brilliance quickly faded, leaving behind only a charred silhouette burning with pure white flames.
Though Aleka’s body was battered and broken, Ron knew he passed peacefully, without any trace of suffering.
Truly worthy of master-level magical prowess. Ron wondered if the next stage of perfection would involve missile launching.
Just picturing that scene thrilled him.
Meanwhile, the Holy Light Element surrounding Ron was equally excited, apparently surprised at the power unleashed by the boy’s new technique.
“We’re amazing together!” it seemed to say.
[You have slain a Compassionate Bishop (Level 4), Holy Sword Technique proficiency +120]
[You practiced Illusion Form eleven times, Illusion Form proficiency +11]
[Illusion Form (Beginner 16/100) Notes...]
[Holy Sword Technique (Master 632/3000) Notes...]
Seeing this, the boy nodded with satisfaction, but before he could rejoice, another message popped up on the proficiency panel:
[You are being watched by the Compassionate Matron]
[The Compassionate Matron sees your youthful heart and kindness and believes she cannot let such a promising seed go astray]
[You have unlocked the title: Compassion’s Chosen (Equippable)]
[Compassion’s Chosen title effect: You will receive respect from certain groups]
[Effect 2: Each time the Crimson Moon descends, you gain the privilege to enter the Courtyard and confide in the Matron]
[Note: Such an adorable one, come here, come closer—I can hardly wait~]
Damn that Matron!
Go bother the municipal sewer department in the royal city to get your pipes unclogged!!!
Don’t come pestering me!
If I really carry the Evil God’s Chosen title, I bet as soon as I return to Stardust Council for work, that Olivia woman will take me in.

Ron’s vision darkened, his pale face drained of color, feeling his life was over.
His overactive imagination quickly painted a vivid picture in his mind.
The thought of some lowly evil god, lonely and empty in that place called the Courtyard, waiting for him, sent a shiver down his spine.
Is the president no longer beautiful? Or has Lady Elena lost her allure?
Who would want to visit that lowly Matron?
I will never wear that ridiculous title!
And I will absolutely never go to that so-called Courtyard!
The boy made a silent vow, barely glancing over the two title effects before turning his gaze back to the scene of the incident.
Dozens of lifeless bodies lay helpless on the ground, blood soaking the earth, spreading a crimson stain.
It wasn’t the first time Ron had done this; his expression numb as he cleaned the battlefield, digging graves for each.
But soon, he realized a critical problem.
He only knew the names of Snake and Aleka; the other ten cultists were complete strangers.
Thinking of these homeless souls dying without even a grave saddened Ron deeply.
Though enemies, he chose to forgive and forget.
After a few seconds of contemplation, the blond youth etched onto a wooden plank:
“Lost Fang, Crow, Fly, Fat Lion...”
All from illegal social groups; it would have to do—he hoped they would like it.
——
When Olivia arrived, she found exactly this scene.
For the third time now, and this time he even buried the bodies—getting more professional!
The black-haired woman approached expressionlessly, staring at Ron for several seconds before pointing toward the large bloodstains on the ground.
“Did you do all this?”
The blond youth silently shook his head, causing Olivia’s eyelids to twitch uncontrollably.
Before she could react, Ron spoke slowly:
“This wasn’t done by me, but by the justice within my heart!”
“I never expected it to come to this.”
“The cultists were too evil; I couldn’t hold back, so…”
